Looking forward to a brighter week!

Ever had a case of the "week"?? I see people all the time on Facebook saying that they have a case of the Mondays, Wednesdays, etc. Well, I had a week.
Wednesday started rough, and ended rough. Got pulled over for not having headlights. WTF#E*$%#)@$&*#$*(%^$*(#@??????!!!!!! How do you NOT have headlights and NOT notice?? Well, it happened. So after chatting with the pudgy officer and having him tell me I'm going to have to find a way home on side roads (hello? I don't know how to get home from Temecula the back way! I didn't know there was a back way - I know the freeway) and getting the ticket below (he didn't write me up for not having headlights - he felt bad for me, b/c they obviously shorted out somewhere along the road home from LA - but he wrote me up for not changing my address with the DMV- that's what i get for being honest!!), I figured out that the brights worked and he let me drive home with them on. (also illegal for those of you who didn't know - but he said what he didn't see, he couldn't site)
Moving to Thursday . . . couldn't teach in the am b/c of car drama, but there wasn't class anyway b/c no one showed up! Taught my life away and headed to the airport. Didn't SLEEP on the flights to boston, I mean, I REALLY DID NOT SLEEP! Lovely.
Friday I show up in Boston with my positive attitude on and Friday not so bad! We got lost three times from airport to venue to hotel, but all worked out.
Sat am: driving judges to the comp. On a freeway that is marked 55. All of the sudden (and i'm laughing about this now, I wish I had a picture for you) there is a cop IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD with flourescent yellow gloves and a radar gun. He gets me. But I'm not sure why. Well friends, 2000 feet before the stop sign, I guess there is a sign that says 35. Miss KT missed that one. So the asshole flags me down (literally) with his flourescent gloves and we pull over. In the time that he is writing my ticket, he pulls over 5 MORE VEHICLES. We are all lined up along the side of the road. Again, I wish I had a picture for you. I get the ticket, see ticket #2 and it's $210.00 ------ H*** S***!!! There goes the idea of paying Amex more this month.
THIS WAS MY FIRST TICKET EVER IN MY LIFE - ruining the perfect record.
*&(*%^#&#)(%^#$*&@#^!!!!!!!!
I can't fight it, I don't live there, and even though honesty seems to not get me very far (see above about ticket #1) I'm afraid to not pay it. Sat night we are loading out and I'm dancing on the stage. My ring that I've had since I was 16 flies off of my hand and starts rolling. I was laughing until it rolled into the pit through a tiny crack. In my head: "Really? Are you Kidding ME?!?" Thank God I had made friends with the guy from the theatre, Norm, and he went downstairs with a flashlight and found it sparkling away in the elevator shaft in the midst of tons of junk and dirt. He says to me, "You really aren't having good luck, are you?"
I sleep 30 minutes Sat night and we leave for airport at 3:15 am Sunday morning.
It was a beautiful thing to be home.
Here's to a better week!
