Myrtle Beach FINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!

MYRTLE BEACH FINALS 2008!

What a great time. . .a lot of work, but well worth it! We got to Myrtle Beach on Sunday, June 15, and set up started 7:30 am on Monday. I left to go to the hotel at 4:15 am on Tuesday, the start of the competition! Below you will see the work in progress. We had to totally build EVERYTHING this time around with no outside help and I was so proud of everyone for their work. We did a damn good job! Thank God for help with loadout; it cut 10 hours out! :-)

Load in. . .early day 1

before anything was there. . .the blank convention room. . .
the tress truck unloaded and in progress -- a pain in the ***!!!
drape and poll. . .that is what i was doing with two fellow workers until 4:30 am! but we were doing the stage wings. . .above is the dressing areas along the side wall. the ones delivered were pieces of **** -- i mean really bad for the money spent. I think we are now buying our own! i was having to figure out how to tape poles together at the joint with gaff tape (i know i sound like a techie) and find the right height for the stage -- 14 ft????!!!!!
Marissa in the corner of the car b/c there was no other room in the mini-van!! we were loading boxes sent to the hotel; we accidentally loaded someone else's .......... oops!!! then had to return them; they were the HEAVY ones!!
