Dave on the wall!!Me on the WALL!!!
So. . .I went rock climbing for the first time this past weekend in baltimore with my bros and sister in law! An interesting experience, one I'll remember for sometime for a couple of reasons: 1) A new challenge! 2) the unknown 3) I wanted to quit and had to pull myself up from the bottom of my climbing shoes and keep going!
It was so refreshing to make myself overcome something. I do that on a daily basis, it seems, but it's always in relation to work or relationships with friends, etc. This was NEW!!! I had to make myself KNOW that I could make it to the top! We climbed three walls, and I only made it to the top once, but it was worth it. I would definitely go back and keep testing my strength. Thank you Rob for introducing me to a new experience and for showing me that I could do it! Rob (my oldest bro) was the belayer (sp!?) and kept me from fallin' to my death; he also was the best "encourager" there could ever be! Telling me when I made a good step or a good hold, and encouraging me to keep going! I'll never forget it. Some pics included. . .
